MPCA Special General Meeting 1 July 2026

Please find attached a copy of the presentation and the outcome of the voting process for the Rule Changes for this coming season.  

1. 2nds Promotion and Relegation will be separated from 1sts.

   
   

2. Introduction of a T20 Competition:

   1. A-grade 1-Day & 2-Day Cricket (previously A & B grades)  

   2. B-grade 1-Day Cricket (previously C-grade)

   3. C-grade T20 Cricket (new format for lower grade cricket)

      
      

3. Finish times for 1^st XI and 2^nd XI – no earlier than Tea Break on Day 2

   
   

4. Bonus Points to be introduced for 1^st XI, 2^nd XI, A-grade, B-grade and C-grade cricket

   
   

5. Bowling in 5 Over Blocks for B-grade and C-grade cricket only

   
   

6. Option to forfeit last 5 overs on Day 1 of a 2-day match

   
   

7. Restricted selection flexibility for 2^nd XI players, with open selection for Lower Grade players.

   
   

8. Transfers and Permits update to open from 1 July
